THE 2012 WINNERS ARE.....
Attorney McCue, Barbara McCue, Mateusz Malinowski and Ahmad Hares.
MATEUSZ MALINOWSKI, Senior, College of Engineering, USF
"I am a third year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of South Florida with interests in motorsports engineering. My family originates in Poland, but I have been living in Florida the past three years. The Q Motorsports Family Scholarship aids in purchasing textbooks, as well as covering daily living expenses as an out-of-state student. My determination and perseverance push me to achieve and improve in academics every day, without letting down my teammates of the USF Society of Automotive Engineers (USF SAE). I currently am the lead designer of the suspension and brake systems for the 2013 formula car produced by USF SAE. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school and work on a master’s degree in motorsports engineering. Shortly after, it would be my dream come true to work as a race engineer for a race car manufacturer in Europe."

AHMAD HARES, Senior, College of Engineering, USF
"I love science. I love engineering. I am passionate about the infinite unknowable possibilities that a life dedicated to the study and practice of such topics can bring. My name is Ahmad Hares and I am powered by my passion for engineering. My introduction to engineering occurred at Braden River High School. My favorite teachers Gil Burlew and Richard Platt, taught us tools such as Computer Aided Drafting, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Computer Numerically Controlled manufacturing, which led to success in the CO2 Dragster Design competition. I found another outlet in USF Racing, USF’s Formula SAE team, during the 2011 season. After graduation in May 2013, I plan on pursuing my Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Plymer Matrix Composites with an Entrepreneurial Master’s Degree in Business Administration. I plan on a business in composites design, consulting and manufacturing.
I want to thank Mr. and Mrs. McCue (and other contributors to the Q Motorsports Scholarship Program) for their generous support of my dreams."
